3 Asian Countries in 11 Days: The Ultimate Dubai, Maldives & India Adventure Itinerary

If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s possible to visit three countries in less than two weeks, the answer is absolutely YES! This incredible 11-day Dubai, Maldives, and India itinerary turned into one of the most unforgettable trips I’ve ever taken. From riding camels through the Dubai desert to snorkeling crystal-clear reefs in the Maldives and spotting wild tigers in India, this trip was packed with adventure, culture, wildlife, and some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.

As someone who loves experiencing new cultures, trying local foods, and making the most of every travel day, this itinerary was a dream come true.

Day 1: Arrival in Dubai, UAE

After a long day of flying, we arrived in Dubai and checked into the beautiful Al Seef Heritage Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton.

We stayed here for our entire Dubai visit, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique experience. Located in Old Dubai along Dubai Creek, the hotel feels like stepping back in time while still having all the comforts of a modern hotel.

Day 2: Jumeirah Mosque, La Mer Beach & a Magical Desert Safari

The Best Breakfast I’ve Ever Had

Before starting our day, we grabbed breakfast at Haleeb O Heil Restaurant & Cafe.

And when I say this was the best breakfast of my life, I’m not exaggerating.

We ordered the large breakfast special and Turkish coffee. It was so good that we came back a second time during our stay. If you’re visiting Dubai and staying near Old Dubai, put this on your list immediately.

Visit Jumeirah Mosque

One of my favorite things about traveling is learning about other cultures, and visiting Jumeirah Mosque was an incredible experience.

Visitors are welcome to tour the mosque and observe the prayer area. Men and women are separated during prayer, and you’ll need to remove your shoes and cover your head before entering.

Even if you’re not religious, it’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about Emirati culture and traditions. Plus, there are plenty of beautiful photo opportunities outside.

Walk Along La Mer Beach

Next, we headed to La Mer Beach along the Persian Gulf.

Interestingly, La Mer felt almost like a ghost town compared to some of Dubai’s more popular beaches. Despite that, it was still beautiful and peaceful.

There were a few food-truck-style cafes selling juices and snacks, and the views were incredible. You can even spot the iconic Burj Khalifa rising above the skyline in the distance.

Sunset Camel Trek, BBQ & Stargazing

If I had to choose one activity that absolutely cannot be missed in Dubai, this would be it.

Our Sunset Camel Trek, Al Khayma Camp, Stargazing & BBQ Tour was hands-down the highlight of our Dubai stay.

We:

  • Fed camels
  • Rode camels through the desert
  • Sampled local snacks and beverages
  • Shopped from local vendors
  • Enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner with vegetarian options
  • Watched an amazing fire show
  • Relaxed under the stars in the Arabian Desert

It was one of those travel experiences that I’ll remember forever.

Day 3: Exploring Old Dubai, the Souks & Burj Khalifa

Taking an Abra Across Dubai Creek

Since our hotel was located in Old Dubai, we decided to explore the famous souks.

One of the most fun ways to get there is by taking an Abra (water taxi) across Dubai Creek. Many travel blogs mention that the ride costs 1 AED, but we only found covered Abras that cost 2 AED.

Either way, it’s an incredibly affordable and authentic experience.

Shopping the Dubai Souks

The souks are sensory overload in the best possible way.

You’ll find:

  • Gold jewelry
  • Spices
  • Perfumes
  • Textiles
  • Souvenirs
  • Handmade goods
  • Designer-inspired bags

If you can imagine it, someone is probably selling it in the souks.

Burj Khalifa & Dubai Mall

No trip to Dubai is complete without seeing the Burj Khalifa.

One thing I didn’t realize before visiting is that you can’t simply drive up to the building for photos. Since it’s connected to a larger complex, the best views are from Dubai Mall or by purchasing tickets to the observation deck.

We opted to wander through Dubai Mall and found a balcony where we could capture some great photos with the world’s tallest building in the background.

Evening at Souk Al Seef

Our hotel was practically attached to Souk Al Seef, making it one of our favorite evening hangouts.

We spent hours walking along Dubai Creek, watching the boats, browsing shops, and sampling local treats.

And yes, I found the best Dubai chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had.

Day 4: Goodbye Dubai, Hello Maldives

After a relaxed morning enjoying breakfast, coffee, and some last-minute shopping, it was time to leave Dubai and head to paradise.

The Maldives completely exceeded my expectations.

And that’s saying a lot because I’ve been fortunate enough to visit quite a few beautiful beaches around the world.

First Impressions of the Maldives

After landing in Male, we boarded a seaplane to Fushifaru, a small private island resort in the Indian Ocean.

The water was the most turquoise water I have ever seen.

Seriously.

Photos don’t do it justice.

We stayed in a Jacuzzi Water Villa, and I would recommend it without hesitation.

We could literally step off our deck and swim directly into the ocean.

Days 5-8: Life in Paradise at Fushifaru Maldives

If someone asked me to describe our typical day in the Maldives, it would look something like this:

Morning

  • Breakfast overlooking the ocean
  • Snorkeling the house reef

Afternoon

  • Lunch by the water
  • Snorkeling the underwater playground
  • Relaxing at the infinity pool
  • Swimming directly from our villa

Evening

  • Incredible dinners
  • Watching the sunset
  • Sitting outside listening to the waves

Repeat.

And somehow it never got old.

Marine Life You Can See in the Maldives

Bring a GoPro if you have one.

We saw:

  • Reef sharks
  • Starfish
  • Unicorn fish
  • Colorful tropical fish
  • Coral reefs

One of the most meaningful experiences was helping with local reef restoration and ocean cleanup efforts.

Fushifaru also offers cultural programs, water sports, fitness activities, and family-friendly experiences.

Honestly, I could have stayed there forever.

Day 9: Arrival in India

Leaving the Maldives was tough, but India had been on my bucket list for years.

We flew from Male to New Delhi and checked into the Radisson Blu Marina Hotel Connaught Place.

Since it was Sunday, Chandni Chowk was closed, which was disappointing because I had really wanted to visit.

Instead, we booked a shopping tour to Padma Bazaar.

While it was a decent place to buy spices, tea, and souvenirs, I would recommend visiting Chandni Chowk first and Janpath Market second if your schedule allows.

That evening, I had the most refreshing ginger ale made with fresh ginger and mint at our hotel.

Days 10-11: Tiger Safari in Ranthambore National Park

One of the biggest reasons we included India on this trip was to see wild tigers.

And it did not disappoint.

Staying at Ranthambore Regency

We traveled to Rajasthan and checked into Ranthambore Regency Hotel.

The hotel felt like a jungle oasis.

Tiger photography decorated the walls, the food was fantastic, the masala chai was incredible, and the service was outstanding.

There was even a pool and gift shop on-site.

Ranthambore Tiger Safari Experience

We completed two safaris in Zones 3 and 4.

The result?

We spotted FIVE tigers.

Seeing these magnificent animals in the wild was one of the most thrilling wildlife experiences I’ve ever had.

The safari organization was seamless, and the hotel staff coordinated everything perfectly.

Feeding Cows for Good Karma

On our drive back to New Delhi, our driver Prem shared a local tradition with us.

He explained that feeding cows is considered good karma, so we stopped and purchased grass from locals for about $5.

Not only was it a meaningful cultural experience, but it also supported the local community.

Exploring New Delhi Before Flying Home

Before heading to the airport, we squeezed in one final sightseeing tour.

We visited:

  • Gandhi Smriti
  • Lodhi Garden
  • Agrasen Ki Baoli
  • India Gate
  • Parliament House
  • Rashtrapati Bhavan

It was the perfect way to wrap up our time in India.

Budget Travel Tip: Use Airport Transfer Tours

One of my favorite travel hacks is booking tours that include transportation.

Whenever possible, I schedule tours immediately after hotel checkout or right before hotel check-in.

Many tour companies will pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at the airport at no extra charge, helping you save money on transportation.

Just email the company before booking to confirm.

Final Thoughts: Is It Worth Visiting Dubai, Maldives & India in One Trip?

Absolutely.

In just 11 days, we experienced:

  • Ancient traditions in Dubai
  • Stunning beaches in the Maldives
  • Wildlife safaris in India
  • Incredible local food
  • Diverse cultures
  • Bucket-list adventures

From camel rides in the desert to swimming with reef sharks and spotting wild tigers, this was one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken.

And perhaps my biggest travel accomplishment?

I did the entire trip with just a backpack.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable multi-country adventure, this Dubai, Maldives, and India itinerary should be at the top of your travel bucket list.
